Sweden and Immigration: The Poisoned Chalice & why Trump was right

How they laughed at him. They said he was mad, bad and at best insane. They thought Trump was being Trump when he suggested Sweden was the victim of a terror attack, cue puerile social media jokes and endless lampooning at his expense. Simply because his claim was fictitious, surely it couldn’t mean the bastion of liberal warmth-and migration hotspot-Sweden would be the victim of a poisonous political ideology that will result in inevitable murder across its streets?

Six weeks ago they laughed and now they will set up their rainbow filters and hashtags after at least five people lie dead on the streets of Stockholm thanks to yet another poisonous individual revelling in his love for radical Islamic ideology and the inevitable slaughter it must bring.

Trump was a soothsayer when he claimed the attack was linked to high levels of immigration and rising levels of crime in the country (both inextricably linked). The former Swedish PM, Carl Bildt, is now eating crow for mocking him as did the country’s US embassy. Now Sweden joins London, Berlin and Nice as another victim of “truck terrorism”, a particular penchant for radical Islamic terrorists in Israel, in attempting to murder innocent civilians, now it is alive and well in Europe as a freestanding tactic.

The problem is Trump has been right all along and it’s not the first time Sweden has been caught underestimating the threat of this ideology and the danger it brings to society. For in 2010 Iraqi born Taimour Abdulwahab detonated two bombs in the capital, drunk on his desire to bring Islamic terror to Swedish municipalities at large. That he was unsuccessful is completely irrelevant. That he tried and is an immigrant is entirely the matter of concern.

What then of another Isil inspired plot to make pressure bombs that was stopped by police? What of the fact that immigration meant a racially motivated sword attack in 2016 when a male student and teaching assistant were killed? This proves beyond fact that integration and immigration must coexist with one another and without it this paves the way to bloody ruin.

Sweden has a population shy of 10 million and the numbers of immigrants compared to that population is relatively high, marking it out as one of the highest rates of immigration per capita in northern Europe. Since the 90’s the number has only risen with an admission in 2015 that the country accepted 160,000+ refugees, that’s a record number.

How many of those are successfully integrated? How many of those silently applauded the act of the terrorist trucker? How many of those are responsible for and tacitly accepting of the spiralling rates of violent crime in the country?

In 2011 these violent crimes reached their peak with the number of killings (lethal violence) higher than any time in recent years. These were once remarked as fanciful Trump wet dreams but they are the reality. Along with the number of reported rapes in Sweden, there is nowhere for the immigrant apologists to run and hide. Their project of pluralism has failed.

The country has meanwhile become a collection of pockets of immigration populations that are marred by crime, social unrest and insecurity which the government is at pains to deny are “no-go zones” and yet are unable to rebut Trump because the police even admitted in a report published in February 2016 that they have “experienced difficulties fulfilling their duties.”

The problem with this kind of unqualified immigration is that even if the government install tougher measures to reduce the number of asylum seekers there is no way to stem its embryonic growth due to a low birth rate amongst Swedish citizens.| Trump refers to non-existent refugee ‘incident’ in Sweden

By calling a spade a spade, it is obvious that President Trump has exposed Obama as a leader who lacked moral strength. Of course Trump was right and the Swedes and their leaders know he was right too; that’s why they had to call him out and try to diminish him. The European emperors have no clothes. Everyone knows it but them.

Of course the media walking on egg shells about the problem of immigration and radical Islamic terror is part of the problem too. Following the recent London Muslim terrorist attack, there was very little condemnation of the murdering Mahood, from officials or politicians, All they wanted to say was how ‘integrated we all were and how awful it would be if there was a backlash against Muslim immigrants’ blah blah.

Then less than two weeks later, youths attacked a young man who was an Iranian immigrant. That should be condemned as an attack by several people on a single victim, who had severe injuries yet this predictably whipped up the media (most of it faux liberal) which felt vindicated that this was racist hysteria in the wake of terrorism.

One MP was quoted as calling the youth attackers “ Scumbags”. Yet I never heard one politician nor official call the murdering Mahood a “Scumbag” or somebody in thrall to a poisonous political ideology. The Guardian readers (and Diane Abbott and her ilk) were inevitably blaming Brexit for “emboldening” these racist thugs, though they were shut up very quickly once the photos of the suspects were released, showing them NOT to be white, tattooed, shaven-headed, pensioners or Tommy Robinson.

Unfortunately, electing or putting up with tolerant, liberal governments who turn a blind eye to the consequences of unfettered immigration will just mean that far right governments will get elected one by one and by that I mean real far right governments not the arbiters of dissent and reason who are mistakenly classed as such.

History will look back at us ( just as we look back to the rise of fascism) and say ‘what were they thinking ?’

And as for all this “lone wolf” propaganda the apologists masquerade us with? Consider this that last night it was reported that the suspected attacker in Sweden was a 39-year-old father-of-four from Uzbekistan.

Reports suggested he had previously posted jihadist propaganda on his Facebook page and had images of people injured in the explosion at the Boston Marathon in April 2013.

Now tell me this came out of a clear blue sky.
