The penalty for being a proud Hindu today
Wanting to ‘Make India Great Again’ is seemingly a criminal act in the eyes of those who would prefer India to turn into a permanent communal riot zone.
They are antagonists, they thrive on their Hinduphobia, they regularly misinform and diligently damage harmony and trust in communities. They are the Indian left-wing, they do nothing to provide justice but love to demean a BJP or Narendra Modi supporter (God forbid!) as heartless, evil, nationalistic, an Indian Trump and coterie of evil minions who want to terrorise in the name of saffron ideology.
Hindus are none of those things but we are all looking to ‘Make India Great Again’ and shouldn’t have to apologise for being nationalist in outlook.
This left-wing coterie of media misfits enjoy raising false alarm over ‘Hindu terror’, taking routes to override facts of crimes and decisions of courts. They do nothing to help and only raise a sense of Hinduphobia amongst Hindus and the common man and woman), casting aspersions on the character of a proud Hindu.
They’ve found their moment in the sun with the #KathuaRape & #UnnaoRapeCase and have sought to deliver their verdicts, without waiting for an official judgement. Apparently it’s the evil Hindus who are punishing Muslims; but it’s they who are trying to sow discord between communities to placate their readership and spurious vote bank, they are the ones that threaten the bonds across boundaries of case and religion.
The disgusting rape and murder of a little girl in Kathua has been communalised because of an agenda, an agenda that covers murders and rapes very selectively when reporting on them and which excises any coverage that runs counter to that agenda.
The left understands that it cannot advance its agenda where things remain equal and the facts clear to see, and so to win the battle of narrative, certain ground realities must be kept out of public discourse. They won’ t talk about rapes anywhere else in India, especially if it’s by a Muslim perpetrator because they’re looking, salivating at the prospect that the assailant must be a Hindu. Otherwise, it’s just not interesting because in their conception of ‘Modi’s India’ all Hindus are psychotic.
In fact, these individuals do have a particular agenda- whether the chattering class, media heads or secular news reporters, they inordinately support Pakistan more than India, terrorists more than army and anti-nationalists more than patriots
They know full well that it is easier to influence and convince people through emotions rather than factual evidence.
Clickbaity headlines, sensational misrepresentation of events, incomplete coverage, exaggerated coverage of non-issues to create a certain attitude amongst people, inherent bias and patronizing attitude towards critical issues have resulted in perpetuating a horribly skewed understanding of national issues.
But in Narendra Modi’s India their false narratives continue to be overturned and their moral bankruptcy laid bare. They may get succour and their thirty pieces of silver from the likes of the New York Times and Washington Post, but in India the BJP and true Hindu nationalists have got their number.
